Tuesday Jul 20, 2021
Tuesday Jul 20, 2021
The annual pilgrimage to Hoover begins with the first day of SEC Media Days. Commissioner Greg Sankey gives his State of the SEC address, followed by visits from Dan Mullen (Florida), Ed Orgeron (LSU), and Shane Beamer (South Carolina). Beamer wins the day with this tweet that imitated this tweet, but we had good things to say about all involved.
Go back and check out our SEC Primers series! We are tacking the last ten years of each SEC program to get everyone up to speed headed into the new season. We will pick up with that adventure later next week!

Apologies for the bad audio on this one! Also apologies on Brittany's attitude toward South Carolina. But we powered through and looked at the good (Spurrier), the bad (Muschamp), and the ugly (more Muschamp) during this decade which could have brought so much more for the Gamecocks. But three straight eleven win seasons ain't bad, and we talk about what reasonable expectations Gamecock fans should have going forward.

SEC Primers: Ole Miss

Tuesday Jun 22, 2021
There's never a dull moment in Oxford, and there was much to talk about with the Ole Miss Rebels over the last decade. From lawsuits to escort services to torturing Alabama to urinating in the end zone, Ole Miss often serves as comic relief in the SEC West. Over the last decade, Ole Miss did something that no other SEC team has done - beat Alabama in consecutive games. Yet the program has had several valleys to navigate, and most of those valleys were self-inflicted. With Oxford now all aboard the Lane Train, Ole Miss should continue to be the source of much fun.

SEC Primers: Auburn
Saturday Jun 19, 2021
Saturday Jun 19, 2021
Our SEC Primers series heads on to Auburn and the usually extraordinary and unfathomable adventures of the Tigers. What started with one of the most dominant seasons in college football history with the one and only Cam Newton at quarterback meandered into several indifferent seasons as War Eagle attempted to keep up with their neighbors in Tuscaloosa. But as we discuss, Auburn was Highly Favored in several moments during the decade, making us wonder how much Jesus "touched" the Tigers during these last ten years...also, Brittany has a strong reaction to the iconic Bo Jackson magazine cover.

SEC Primers: LSU
Thursday Jun 10, 2021
Thursday Jun 10, 2021
Our SEC Primers series continues with the LSU Fighting Bengal Tigers. Unfortunately for LSU fans, much of the decade was defined on their level of success against Alabama. That still resulted in over 100 wins, two SEC championships, and perhaps the greatest season in college football history. But the shadow of Nick Saban still looms over Baton Rouge heading into the new decade.
Here are a few links on the games that defined LSU's decade...
2011 - #1 LSU @ #2 Alabama (The Game of the Century)
2012 - #1 Alabama @ #5 LSU
2015 - Arkansas @ #7 LSU (beginning of the end of Les Miles)
2018 - #7 LSU @ #22 Texas A&M (7 OT game)
2019 - #2 LSU @ #3 Alabama
2019 - One For The Ages (SEC Network movie)
And a bonus! Look away Tennessee fans...
2010 - Tennessee @ #10 LSU
